Consumers with a need for speed will get to lay hands on Canada’s fastest smartphone yet when the LG Optimus G launches this November.
Rogers announced today the Korean phone maker’s flagship Android LTE device is available for pre-order via rogers.com/OptimusG. Existing customers can reserve their phone through the Rogers Registration System.
The Optimus G is the first handset north of the border enabled to access the 2600 MHz LTE spectrum, which means possible faster speeds over other LTE smartphoens. Web content loads almost instantly, and songs, movies, and apps download as quickly as if you were connected to your home network.
It’s also the first Canadian phone to sport Qualcomm’s lightning-quick S4 quad-core Snapdragon processor. Combined with a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, the Optimus G is primed to deliver bar-raising performance in Android games plus some seductively pretty 720p movies and high-definition photos.
Running Google’s acclaimed Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, the Optimus G also packs an 8 megapixel camera for clear, vivid photography, a robust 2100 mAh battery to help get you through long days, and a QuickMemo feature that lets you scribble notes in any app — handy should you need to take a quick message on a call.
Bonus: You could win a super sweet screen for your living room. Pre-order or reserve your LG Optimus G now and you’ll be entered to win a 47” Cinema 3D Smart TV, LG’s stunningly designed, state-of-the-art, web-enabled stereoscopic television. This contest is open to both existing and new Rogers subscribers.
Rogers is launching the LG Optimus G starting at $129.99 with a three-year FLEXtab agreement.
