Quick Tips

Noticing some lag? Having difficulty swiping from left to right? Try these tips to smoothen your ride.

  1. Get rid of live wallpaper. An animated background is fun, but it takes up resources.
  2. Widgets – mini-apps that sit on your home screen – should be deleted if you never use them. This will boost your start-up time and speed up efficiency.
  3. Quit some apps. If you have too many apps running in the background, it will slow down the task you’re trying to do.

How do you download pictures that are sent to your android phone from people during a text. Where do they go and how you find them. ???

The third suggestion is the real one. The problem with Android that annoys the heck out of me is that the apps I kill keep on starting up again. There is no option available to only run when *I* start it.

For example, when I boot my HTC, I find 13 killable apps. Once killed, within 30 seconds, 2 of them have restarted. Within an hour, 9 of them have restarted. I want them to _stay_ dead until I need them!
