Connected Rogers

When someone calls, a banner displaying the call details appears at the bottom of your TV screen. The service is free when you subscribe to Rogers Digital TV and Rogers Home Phone with Call Display. Here’s how to get the most out of it. (Note: These instructions apply to Ontario customers only.)

  1. Send a call directly to voice mail: Yikes, it’s a telemarketer! On your Rogers remote, press [A] (which is enclosed in a yellow triangle) to send a call directly to voicemail. (A subscription to Rogers Home Phone Voicemail is required.) The phone will stop ringing almost immediately.
  2. Quickly close the pop-up banner: OK, you’ve seen who’s calling. Now you want the banner off your screen. Simply press the circular grey Exit button (located near the red “C” button). If you don’t press it, the banner will stay on screen for 20 seconds (default setting).
  3. Temporarily turn off TV Call Display pop-up: Watching a show or sports event and don’t want the TV Call Display banner to appear? Press the Blue “B” button on your Rogers remote to temporarily turn off the pop-up. The default snooze time is two hours. While the pop-up is on the screen, press the Red “C” button to access the Settings menu and customize the settings.
  4. Turn off TV Call Display pop-up: Go to Channel 975 and highlight Manage Call Display Pop-Up, then select Do
Not Display Pop-Up from the list.

TIP: Tune into Channel 975 to customize your TV Call Display features. You can also view a log of recent calls here.

I have three TV’s, one with Nextbox 3 and two with Nextbox HD terminals. Call display works on the Nextbox 3 and one of the HD terminals but nothing is displayed on the other HD terminal. Also on this HD terminal, channel 975 displays a message "Service is out of order".

I’m still waiting to see the caller ID on my TV. I have this feature on one of my TV’s and not the other. Why is this so? Both TV’s have the PVR feature.
